Parc at Midtown will feature micro condominiums.

Surge Homes, a Houston-based real estate developer and builder, will bring micro condominiums to Midtown with the completion of the Hadley Building next year.

The condominiums stand out because of their small size: Floor plans range from 414 to 498 square feet and start at $157,680. Despite their size, the units include a separate master bedroom, living area and windows on front and back exterior walls.

“We saw the micro condo ownership trend during our market research, which involved input from nearly 3,400 Houstonians, and this allowed us to correctly predict, before any other developer in the city, that Houston was ripe for these smaller condominiums,” Ben Lemieux, co-founder of Surge Homes, said in a statement.

The micro units account for 14 of the 28 homes in the Hadley building, part of the developer's Parc at Midtown project.
