Hot Music Venues in Houston's Inner Loop

If you enjoy live music, there are a number of great places in Houston where talented musicians play – and they just happen to be near a Surge Homes community (or three!). There’s no longer any reason to miss a show since you’ll be in such close proximity to top acts from around the country. Recently, the Houston Press named its local favorites in, "The 10 Best Music Venues in Houston." Most venues making the list (except for the fabulous-but-far away Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion) are within a 10-minute drive of Parc at Midtown and Museum BLVD.

House of Blues Houston (6-minute drive from Parc at Midtown, 8-minute drive from Museum BLVD)
The Houston location is one of about a dozen clubs from this legendary chain. Acts represent music through the decades with performances by Gavin Degraw, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Jordin Sparks, Wu-Tang Clan, 2 Chainz, Lauryn Hill, Ke$ha, Bastille, Guns N' Roses and many others. 1204 Caroline Street, Houston, TX 77002

Continental Club (6-minute drive from Parc at Midtown, 4-minute drive from Museum BLVD)
Besides the short drive from two Surge Homes communities, this bar is directly on the METRORail line making it an ever better choice for a night on the town with friends. As the younger sister of the same-named club in Austin, this Continental Club is showcases an eclectic rotation of local and national bands featuring great roots rock, rockabilly, gulf coast soul and rock ‘n’ roll. 3700 South Main Street, Houston, TX 77002

Walters Downtown (6-minute drive from Parc at Midtown, 9-minute drive from Museum BLVD)
Once known as Walter's on Washington, this bar has since found a home near University of Houston-Downtown. This bigger, yet still cozy, version features local and regional touring groups just about every night of the week. 1120 Naylor Street, Houston, TX 77002

White Oak Music Hall (10-minute drive from both Parc at Midtown and Museum BLVD)
White Oak Music Hall is fast becoming known for its outdoor concerts held on the 3,000-capacity Lawn at White Oak. Additionally, concert-goers will find two separate performance stages indoors that feature both local and major acts. 2915 North Main Street, Houston, TX 77009
