- Limelight Houston (8-minute walk): This dance and music mega-club is known for pumping out some of the city’s best house/electronic dance music. Here,you’ll find three DJ areas and a main stage for the headlining acts. Limelight Houston is known for its weekly parties themed as College Night Thursdays, Electric Fridays, and Devious Saturdays. Management knows how to pack the place, and millennial club-goers have this nightclub on the radar for good drink prices, great music, and an all-around high-energy vibe.
Dress: Cool and casual, but “dress to impress” on Saturdays. Open: Thursday and Sunday from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Located at 2401 San Jacinto Street.
- Barbarella (8-minute walk): If you’re looking for a unique nightclub experience, go to Barbarella—and leave your inhibitions behind. Barbarella is a video dance club featuring an array of musical styles and genres. On Wednesday evenings, you can catch live bands, Thursday is ‘90s Night, Friday features New Noise (new music), and Saturday nights are all about ‘80s music. Modern, funky, cool, and inclusive—these are just some of the terms used to describe Barbarella. To know it is to experience it—so visit the club for a guaranteed great night.
