Surge Homes’ Success Enhanced by Internationally Diverse Clientele

Internationally diverse homebuyers

Buyers from around the world choose to live in Houston’s Inner Loop

PRESS RELEASE

HOUSTON – (August 18, 2017) – The residential communities under development by Surge Homes® are just as unique as the people who live in them.

In fact, 72 percent of Parc at Midtown and Upper Richton property buyers are of international provenance, underscoring Houston’s status as the most diverse major city in the United States, according to a study by the Kinder Institute.

Foreign-born buyers are expected to bolster sales activity and prices in U.S. homes sales, according to speakers at an international real estate forum organized by the REALTOR® University Richard J. Rosenthal Center for Real Estate Studies.

Surge Homes offers such buyers appeal in terms of premier locations within Houston’s Inner Loop. Other factors driving the international clientele include European-style architecture and interiors, and homes situated within a 10-minute walk of coveted neighborhood amenities, such as international restaurants, upscale and eclectic retail, and a range of nightlife offerings. “My extensive travels have provided inspiration from around the world for innovative living spaces,” says Benoit Lemieux, chairman of Surge Homes.

Local companies call on the engineers, healthcare specialists, managers and scientists from around the world to ensure their competitiveness. These well-educated new Houstonians have good income and want to own homes in more walkable neighborhoods like the ones they can find back home. For them, location is more important than the size of the home because they are accustomed to living in smaller, more efficient spaces.

“Surge Homes seems to have the perfect product for this diverse group of homebuyers,” says Louis Conrad, president of Surge Homes. “And it is pushing our sales to the top of Houston’s Inner Loop market.” In June 2016, Parc at Midtown was named the third fastest-selling residential subdivision in Houston by Meyers Research, with Surge Homes as the only privately-owned company in the top three positions.
